I wanted to post something just to let people know we haven't abandoned the place. It's just been a really long month for us, both with work, bad weather, and family. We've been hitting real life nonstop with only Sundays off for awhile (Doc was on call and/or I was going into the office on Saturdays). Then Gustav hit and we were without power for a day (we were lucky there) and cleaning up for a week. Hannah came right on Gustav's heels and brought Doc's sister and brother in law over to stay with us for the Labor Day weekend and a bit into that week, and then work happened again. We've been thrown off our normal rhythm, but we're starting to get back into it. We also got a new laptop, and neither of us can remember our log ins
. It's kind of embarrassing to admit, but I've got them written down and we will get them moved over to the laptop so we aren't completely dependent on the desktops.
Today, we're taking a chance that we'll be able to find gas in Alabama and going to Troy for the home opener. Hopefully, we won't get stranded.
